A typical Irish breakfast:

So today, I had a traditional Irish breakfast with my host family, including sausage, rashers (bacon), fried mackerel, white blood pudding, yogurt, toasted soda bread, black currant marmalade, poached eggs, milk and tea. If I don't gain ten pounds on my semester I don't know how!

It will be easy to gain weight. The full irish breakfast is something else. It keeps you going all day long.

  2. So I've noticed. It's nice though, because my family feeds me a big breakfast in the morning and then I go off to classes and don't usually have to worry about spending too much on lunch. Then its back to my homestay for a big dinner. It actually works out quite well.

  4. Well, I don't like the black blood pudding, but the white pudding that my host family eats for breakfast is actually very good and has a lot of flavor and spices. I like it.
